Whirlpool accessories
Simple accessories can be used to complete the relaxation effect with the whirlpool. Ergonomic headrests and benches promote a relaxing stay in the pool and invite you to linger. Pool enclosures enable use regardless of rain or wind, pool covers minimise heating costs and conserve the warmth of the whirlpool water. In the evening or at night, LED lights with different pleasant colours provide atmospheric lighting for relaxing moments.
Frequently asked questions for Whirlpool accessories:
Whirlpools must be placed outdoors on a level location. The area must be free of branches, stones, sharp and pointed objects. The location must be stable and weight-resistant (not on a balcony or terrace). Before setting up, double check that the whirlpool will stand on a completely flat, level surface, as otherwise the connections may not seal 100%.
1. Turn off the spa control unit.
2. Connect the drain valve adapter to a garden hose. Place the other end of the garden hose in a suitable place for water disposal.
3. Remove the cap from the outer drain valve and attach the drain valve adapter to the drain valve.
4. Open the cover for the drain valve inside the whirlpool tub. The water begins to flow out through the garden hose.
5. When the water has drained out, disconnect the whirlpool control unit from the wall of the whirlpool tub. Lift the whirlpool tub wall on the opposite side from the drain to direct any remaining water down the drain and allow you to completely drain the whirlpool.
6. Attach the filling hose to the air blower valve on the control unit.
7. Turn on the whirlpool and press the button. Align the filling hose with the inlet/outlet of the spa pool and the spa control unit so that the water in the pipes dries out.
8. Use a clean towel to soak up the remaining water and moisture from spa and control unit.
9. When the whirlpool is empty, remove the filter housing from inside the spa and clean or replace the filter cartridge. Only use commercially available bathroom cleaners for cleaning. Rinse the whirlpool well with clear tap water.
10. Make sure that the control unit and the spa tub are thoroughly dry.
11. After the spa is completely dry, vacuum out any remaining air. Note that some air still remains in the tub. The tub should not be completely "evacuated" so that the air and jet lines are not compressed.
12. Fold the whirlpool loosely and avoid sharp corners to prevent damage. Packing into the bag may require 2-3 people.
NOTE: The included caps can be used to cover the water inlet and outlet fittings inside the spa. This prevents water from flowing out.
The whirlpool models from 2020 cannot be retrofitted with WLAN. The complete control unit and the display would have to be replaced with the components from 2021. The outdoor whirlpool models from 2021 are WLAN-capable.
All INTEX whirlpool models should never be inflated with external compressors or pumps. Please only use the control unit supplied for this purpose. Please also note the information in the operating instructions of the respective product.
The outdoor whirlpools are not winterproof. In areas where there is a risk of frost, the spa and all associated components should be drained, cleaned, disassembled and correctly stored indoors if the temperature drops below 5°C.
Accessories for the INTEX whirlpool
The INTEX inflatable headrest and ergonomically shaped head and neck supports relieve the back and contribute to additional relaxation. The ergonomically shaped supports can be attached easily and quickly due to the clip-on design and the material is hygienic as well as easy to clean. By means of silicone pads on the underside, the support is attached for a firm and stable hold.
For a relaxing stay in the whirlpool, the inflatable bench can be used for the INTEX Pure SPA whirlpools. Due to the Fiber-Tech© construction, this has a high level of strength and durability. The whirlpool's air blower can be used for inflation. It is attached with compatible quick-release fasteners.
For extra comfort, a height-adjustable plastic seat provides a non-slip seat surface. A double step with an anti-slip surface can be easily fitted without tools to make it easier to get in and out of the whirlpool.
A whirlpool roof enables relaxation and massage at any time, regardless of the weather conditions. You can comfortably enter the covered whirlpool tub from both sides via 2 outer doors. 4 side parts with mesh inserts and a privacy screen with zip fastener that can be opened offer privacy or protection from view, if desired. 4 service openings are provided for whirlpools with external technology. The whirlpool tub roof comes with a protective ground sheet, tent pegs and storm bracing as well as 6 weights that can be filled with 20 kilograms of sand, which make the pool roof more stable and also ensure better durability in windy conditions.
LED lights fit both the round Pure Spa and the octagonal combi models. You can choose from 5 different colours white, green, light blue, dark blue and violet, which either shine permanently in a desired colour or set the colour change mode.
Energy and cleaning
The energy cover for the Pure SPA whirlpool for 4 people improves energy efficiency by up to 50 percent. The cover reduces energy costs as heat fluctuations are minimised and the heat of the whirlpool water can thus be conserved. It also protects against punctures, scratches and weather damage.
For round whirlpools without a salt water system, the basic package for perfect treatment of the water in your whirlpool is recommended. The set consists of a pH reducer and pH lifter, a liquid hardness stabiliser, disinfection tablets and 50 test strips so that you can check the ideal pH value of 7.0 and 7.4 and the chlorine content of 0.3 mg/l to 06 mg/l.
